How about this guy as a sleeper. Last year at Ole Miss he rushed for 1169 yds and 8 tds, and caught 44 balls for 520 yds. He's listed at
WR on the team website and it looks like he'll start in the slot for the Chiefs. His only competition there is Lance Long. Its a safe bet that he'll return kickoffs alongside Javier Arenas as well. I wouldn't be suprised if he ran some plays out of the wildcat, as he was successful running the wild rebel in college, and he is the chief most suited to run this package. Where things could really get interesting is if Charles and/or Thomas Jones get hurt and he's getting 15 carries a game with wr eligibility. This could be the fantasy gold I dreamed about with Michael Robinson. It could be Marcus Colston, but with a running back, alright I'm getting ahead of myself. The only other viable backs on the roster are Kolby Smith and Jackie Battle and calling them viable is a bit of a stretch, McCluster would have no problem beating them out. The chiefs line is a little bit underrated as well, Jamaal Charles rushed for 968 yds and 7 tds in the last 8 games of 2009. The line only allowed 8 sacks in the final 6 gms of the season as well, when the offense became more explosive (after LJ). I haven't seen rankings or a mock draft updated with all the rookies yet, but I assume McCluster will not be in the top 150. If he strictly plays the slot he is not fantasy relevant except for the deepest of leagues. But with his versatility and possible upside he makes for the perfect end of draft lottery ticket.
