We are having some debate in our league over bench spots. We have six as of now, starting QB, WR, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, K. I have played with some of these guys before, and they tend to just hold tons of people all season long. it really becomes a question of who got who early on and just never let go to cockblock people. The season should really be determined over time in my eyes, not on who is benching the most viable alternatives solely to keep others from improving. Dont get me wrong, having depth is part of the game but it seems like six spots is just asking for hoarding. Everyone should be able to have a viable backup for each main position (3 in this setup) plus one or two prospects, for a total of 4 or 5. six seems extreme to me, especially since we aren't playing defenses.
Thoughts?
