Here are a few on my list for this season. Undervalued players are not the same as sleepers to me. Sleepers are guys no one else is talking about that you can snatch up late in drafts. While undervalued players, are those who can easily outperform their current ADP this season
Felix Jones- His situation this year with the Cowboys still remains unclear but everything Jerry Jones says makes it look like Felix will get the bulk of the carries if he is able to handle it. Felix is always an injury concern every year but when healthy he is one of the most explosive RB’s in the league. His YPC speak for itself. In his rookie season, he averaged 8.9 YPC on a limited 30 rushes. Last year, Felix averaged 5.9 ypc on 116 carries. He is a homerun threat every time he touches the ball and has shown to be very effective when given the opportunity. After reviewing some tape, he has good vision, ability to change directions quick, nice cutback moves, and the most obvious tremendous break away speed. According to Yahoo Sports, Felix is currently being draft early in the 9th round. If he sees the bulk of the carries, he will easily surpass 9th round value this season. Ahmad Bradshaw- He is another guy who has not had the opportunity to carry the full load but has shown flashes of what he can do when given the carries. Brandon Jacobs is coming off a disappointing 2009 season where he only averaged 3.7 YPC. Jacobs showed signs of slowing down last season. From Weeks 11-16 of last year, Jacobs had 73 carries for 218 yards. This comes out to 2.9 YPC. Giants coaches are unsure if Bradshaw is a back capable of handling the full workload due to his small stature as a RB. However, Bradshaw averaged a healthy 4.8 ypc last season rushing for 778 yds with 7 TD. According to Yahoo Sports, he is being drafted in the 13th round. This is about 3 rounds later than his teammate Brandon Jacobs. Lee Evans- He is coming off a very disappointing season last year but I feel he has the potential to bounce back this year. Part of his poor stats from last year can be blamed on the inconsistent QB play for Buffalo. Fitzpatrick, Edwards, and Brohm all saw action last season under center for the Bills. Fitzpatrick lacked a strong arm which hurt Evans as he is a big play threat. However, with a noodle armed QB in Fitzpatrick, Evans did not see as many deep balls as he saw the previous year with Trent Edwards as his QB. Evans topped 5 receptions in only two games last season and had no games with over 100 receiving yards. Compare this to the 08-09 NFL season, where he topped 5 receptions in five games and topped the 100 yard receiving mark 4 times in that season. The starting QB spot is still up for grabs in Buffalo as Edwards, Fitzpatrick, and Brohm will all battle it out in preseason. TO is now out of town and Evans is the only WR worth talking about in Buffalo. He should see plenty of targets this season. According to Yahoo Sports, Evans is being selected late in the 12th round this season
